We wanted to go on a little trip or vacation while Aaron had this time off of work, but lately I have not felt like riding too long in the car or doing too much walking around or sight-seeing, especially in the hot summer. Plus, being 7 months pregnant I didn't really want to be too far from home in case anything happened!
So we found a fun alternative and it worked out great! A friend of mine here in town told me about some great deals you can get on vacation packages at some of the nice resorts here in Tucson. Winter is their peak season so I think they do all they can to get any kind of customers in the summer months. Let's face it-nobody comes to vacation in Tucson in the summer because it is so hot! But we got a great deal and did a little 2 day stay at a resort and had a great "staycation". (Any locals that want details-let me know and I'll forward the link to you!)
It's way over on the other side of town for us and we don't make it over there much so it really didn't even feel like we were even in Tucson. We got to eat at places we don't usually eat at because it's like a 45 minute drive over there. We relaxed by the pool pretty much the entire time we were there and Aaron was actually able to just sit around (he usually gets antsy when he's not doing something!).
Look at these amazing views of the mountain!
Brady LOVED this kiddie pool they had. It was nice for us too because I could just basically lay and sit in it and watch him play.
I had to get one of me and Brady together in here! But I wasn't going to give you that much of a view of me and my lower huge half! :)
These next 2 are probably my favorites of Brady. He had so much fun with those little fountains.

We took a little walk around the property
And this is my attempt at trying to get all 3 of us in a picture with the mountains in the background. Not too great, but you should have seen the ones that were even worse!
And here's one of my favorite parts of the trip-the food!
Here's pictures from the bakery we ate breakfast at one morning. In one way, I'm kinda glad we don't live close because I would be there all the time! Anyone want to take a little trip across town with me sometime?

Our trip came to an end too fast, but we did have a very fun time spending some relaxing time together.

Wow, that place sounded pretty fun! If we come back to check on our house anytime soon, we'll have to make sure to go there. (and you and I can go over for the food...haha).
