And he's off.....

Aaron is off to Washington DC for a couple days. They're doing some Congressional Committee briefing thing on electronic warfare (which his plane does) and so he and a couple other guys are taking a plane out there to be a part of it. So maybe he will meet some interesting politicians while he is there since they will also get to see all the planes involved in this-including Aaron's.

Pretty cool for him. But we are without him for a couple days. :)

So I told him to take my camera with him in case anything really cool happens. Or to just take pictures of something so I will have something to put on this blog when he comes back! :)

BTW-the picture above was from like 3 years ago when we first got here-I guess I don't have any recent pictures of him in the plane/in front of the plane. Maybe I'll have to get him to get his fellow traveling friends to take one of him on this trip!

Birthday party and surprise visitor

We had Brady's birthday party here on Saturday. I found some really cute "TARS" (CARS) stuff to use and it turned out so cute and Brady loved it. We had some of our friends and their kids come over for some cupcakes and ice cream.
But the biggest and bestest part of it all was that Aaron's sister Erica surprised us by just showing up on Friday night. We didn't know she was coming and she knocked on the door while we were eating dinner. She came just for his birthday party and stayed for the weekend. It was so fun to have her here. She drove all by herself for 12 hours from Utah just to come and see us. And of course Brady had the best time playing with Aunt E-ta, as he calls her.

I think Brady took this picture of Erica. She had a lot on her camera of random weird and out of focus things. But this is a cute one! We love you Erica and we miss you already!

Brady goes to the gym

My friend Callie told me about a gymnastics place she takes her son to on Fridays. So we went with her last Friday and they let the little kids play on all the gymnastics stuff. It was so funny watching a bunch of little toddlers run an jump and play. Here's a couple pics I took. You'll notice I cannot get Brady to look at me any time I am trying to take these pictures! I guess he was too busy having fun!

Cookie Capers and Heart Attackers

We were watching TV last Wednesday night and getting Brady ready for bed (I know, I'm slow in posting this) . And then we hear a knock on the door. Aaron asked me if I was expecting anyone and I said no. So we opened the door and nobody is there but this was............

(We had already eaten 3 cookies before I took this picture!)

So thank you to whoever it was who left us some yummy cookies.
And............whoever heart attacked us. I found the paper hearts all over our door when I was locking up before going to bed. What a fun surprise!

Happy Birthday Brady!

I can't believe my little baby boy is 2 already! So I thought since I didn't have this blog when Brady was born, it would be alright to post a couple pics of him as a newborn now.

I took this pic on my cell phone camera of Aaron and I just love it. But to me the funniest part is my VERY FAT foot in the corner. They didn't go down for like a week! I was more puffy after I had Brady than before!

Please don't look too closely at me. I look horrible. Who are those people who have cute pics in the hospital right after giving birth? And this was about 4 hours after-you don't ever want to see the pics of me right after!

This picture just makes me smile. Brady had to go under the blue lights for jaundice for a day and he just looked so cute in his little glasses!

"Wii" are all fit!

Yes, we are all fit-even Brady. Anytime Aaron has the balance board out Brady starts saying "Up! Down!" over and over again. So Aaron lets him play a couple times and that makes him happy. So I had to take pictures one of these times because it is so cute! He's doing this leg lift thing.

Baby's growing up

So he's not my little baby anymore. He's my little man! He will be 2 years old on Tuesday and I can't believe how quickly the time has gone by. So we got him a little table and chairs for his birthday and he absolutely loves it! I even put it all together myself since Aaron was at work. Brady even "helped" me put the table legs on when he got up from his nap. And since he loves his markers so much, he now has a place to color of his very own!

Not only did markers get on his face and hands, I found some blue marker on the inside rim of his ear at bath time. Aaron said he caught him trying to use it like a Q-tip or something!
