Cardinals Game

We made a quick road trip to Phoenix yesterday. We've tried the last couple years to go see the St Louis Cardinals when they play the Diamondbacks in Phoenix. We've made it there 2 out of 4 years, for various reasons and scheduling conflicts.

But yesterday, it worked out great and we couldn't have asked for a better day. It was only 90 degrees outside (instead of 107 like it has been this week), they had the roof of the stadium open and a slight breeze was blowing. Before the game we made a fun shopping trip to IKEA and had an early dinner at Cafe Rio before heading to the game. We got cheap seats that are way up but we still had fun anyway!

We're all sporting our Cardinal gear (well, I'm just wearing red because my other Cardinals shirt looks like a belly shirt that a 10 year old should be wearing because of my enormous size right now!)

Brady's swinging around the rally towel Aaron got a playoff game last year at Busch stadium. Too bad Brady's swinging didn't help the Cardinals play any better because they lost BIG time! They always lose when we go see them! We watched them play on TV against the D-backs on Friday night and they won. Then on Saturday when we go see them, they lose!

And the best thing of the whole night for Brady was: the POPCORN! He had been telling us ever since we sat down in our seats that he wanted popcorn. Since we had just eaten before the game, we told him wait a little bit. He kept reminding us like every inning that he needed-not wanted but needed popcorn because his belly was growling! He finally got his wish!
