"Campout"

We had Tolson overnight with us the other night and the boys were so excited! Tolson brought his sleeping bag to sleep on so of course Brady wasn't going to be sleeping in his bed because he wanted to sleep in his sleeping bag too! All afternoon, they kept saying that we were going to have a campout tonight. I was confused as to how they had come to this conclusion and kept telling them they were going to just have a sleepover. Finally, it hit me that because they were going to be sleeping in sleeping bags that they were calling it a campout! Who knew it was that easy to please 3 year olds?

They were so cute-I took this picture after they first laid down. I should have taken another one about 30 minutes later after they had been talking and giggling and they both had gathered about 8 stuffed animals each around them and were sound asleep. But I didn't really want to jinx the fact that they were sleeping and being so good. Part of the reason they probably went to sleep so well is because I bribed them with Mickey Mouse pancakes for breakfast (which I made them in the morning)! This was during about the 4th trip to the bedroom to tell them to close their eyes and go to sleep! I wasn't a total meanie-I remember some of my friends' parents being very mean about sleepovers and going to sleep. But since they are only 3 I did have to just remind them that it was time to sleep after I let them talk and laugh and play with all the animals they had collected by their sleeping bags.

They both said that they wanted to have another campout soon! We'll have to arrange that since they did so well!
