Take me out to the ball game.....or to see the dinosaur

On Saturday we decided that we wanted to go to a spring training game since there is one in town every day this month. Sadly, the Chicago White Sox, my dad's favorite team, moved theirs up to Phoenix so no Sox anymore.
The Rockies were in town (the Diamondbacks were out of town). They were playing the Seattle Mariners and supposedly Ken Griffey Jr was supposed to be around (but he wasn't).
So we arrived at the ballpark-after a short shuttle bus ride from the mall where we parked across the street from the field. Which, by the way, Brady talked about the whole time we were on the bus and after we got there. He was so excited!
When we sat down in our seats it was a beautiful 75 degrees (there was a thermometer on the scoreboard). As we were sitting and watching the game, we also noticed this big black cloud threatening the sun and coming toward us. By the 4th inning, the cloud was over us and we felt a couple light drops of rain and it was really cold with the downdraft from the cloud (Aaron told me this word). And the scoreboard said it was
61 degrees! Crazy!
By this time we were cold in our short sleeves and Brady was getting a little restless. He was wanting to go find the purple dinosaur mascot for the Rockies. We passed by him on our way to our seats before so we went to find him again (and I wanted Nachos!).

We stuck out the temporary cold wind blowing directly in our faces and it eventually warmed back up by about the 7th inning. And we were on a dinosaur watch the rest of the game, tracking where Dinger was in the ballpark. Some ladies next to us kept waving for the dinosaur to come up our row. And he finally did! So Brady got to see him again.

Another hug

Gimme five!

And he pet his tail while he was taking pictures with other people. He is obsessed with tails because this book of animal tails we got at the library and this dinosaur tail was no exception!
